No. Every Cyclades charter we run is crewed - a professional captain sails the yacht and a hostess cooks and looks after you - so no licence, qualification or prior experience is needed. You simply enjoy the trip.
The season runs May to October. June and September bring warm water and calmer seas; July and August are the hottest and busiest, with livelier sailing. Your captain always picks the most sheltered route for the conditions.
Charters start from Athens (Alimos Marina), usually departing on a Saturday. One week (Sat to Sat) is the classic length; two weeks lets you reach the far south. Custom durations are possible - just ask.
There is no fixed route. A typical week mixes famous names like Mykonos, Paros and Naxos with quiet coves you can only reach by sea. The exact itinerary is shaped with your captain each day, around the wind and what you feel like.
Yes - the crew handles all the sailing, so it works well for families and complete beginners. The Cyclades does involve longer open-water passages; if you would prefer the calmest, gentlest option, the nearby Saronic Gulf is an easier introduction.
It depends on the catamaran. Our crewed fleet comfortably sleeps up to around 12 guests in ensuite cabins, plus the crew. Tell us your group size and we will match the right yacht.
